What’s listed below is the Hawkfans disclosure policy.  It is VERY important that you ALWAYS read a website’s disclosure policy so that you do understand the ways in which we are compensated.

First and foremost, this blog (and the website Hawkfans.com in general) is run by a group of Iowa Hawkeye fans (no surprise there).

That said, we at Hawkfans.com want to be as clear and candid as we can with you and let you know about some of the relationships we hold with other companies.

1. You will find recommendations on this blog which will oftentimes give you links to products and resources that we DO get compensated for. This is either in the form of a commission or some other form of payment that the company offers.
2. Since we link to these specific companies and the products that they offer we cannot be held responsible if the price is different than what we have stated here (since prices tend to change), if the photo is different than what we have posted here (photos also tend to change), and sometimes, the link to the page just simply stops working.  Whenever we can we attempt to fix these links but sometimes it just happens that a link gets broken.  And since we have no direct control over the page that it is linking to, we can’t take responsibility for it.
3. We do our best to give to you related items and websites that are related in some way shape or form to the Iowa Hawkeyes.  That is our goal.  Sometimes we may link to something that is non-Hawkeye related but, it’s overall reason will be disclosed.
